Books have been written about it, Facebook groups review and argue about it, and you better get it \u201cright.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is It?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Per the dictionary, the blurb is a noun: \u201ca short description of a book, movie, or other product written for promotional purposes and appearing on the cover of a book or in an advertisement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you look at Forgive Us on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B08R2X9C52\">Amazon<\/a>, you\u2019ll find the blurb here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/SLKkXgVqnglsaabpuv2GmoAnjKR-rNlDNJZr5phmuPl0RfcBALBepWVNgK1ozMnfR2H2bcXIspAEH73fNPn60myy_EcqykfKGDIV9ScG-u9CQYV1-lPNCP69mGAXyKZwBFDVfGJW\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Perfect Blurb<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>To authors, the blurb becomes a mythical creature that you chase to \u201cget right.\u201d Soon, you\u2019ll find yourself in several Facebook groups discussing whether your blurb will work, what\u2019s wrong with it, and whether it\u2019s causing your book to sell less. You\u2019ll try and try to incorporate input just to get another set of opinions of what works and what doesn\u2019t. Still, you\u2019ll have no idea whether the blurb is actually working because you can\u2019t tell whether someone is choosing not to buy your book and move on. Is it the cover? The blurb? The price? Mismatch in interest? And so on\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like most everyone else, I\u2019ve gone through several versions of the blurb for Forgive Us before settling on the current blurb.
